  • Before the 2009 jeeping season started, I had my sister Sue sew up a new open-sided top for Blue Mule. The bikini top just didn't cover enough of the back seat.
  • My first trip was in June with my friend Rick up into the lower Four Mile ORV area. We had the opportunity to see the Rocky Mountain sheep that live up there, as well as test out the new top.
  • Later in June, Ellen and I explored an alternative route up to Aspen Ridge. There is a portion that was rather steep, so we decide this would not be a could choice for the Fall Color Tour. We did see some nice stands of aspen and an old cabin.
  • The Northern Colorado Run was in mid-July. We took Steve along with us this year. Everyone decided to try out towing their trailers along during the ride.
  • The next weekend in July, Steve, Ellen, and I explored the Four Mile and Chubb Park area.
  • It was not until September that we got out again. We took Pat along to explore a shorter loop in the Four Mile area, as well as the part of the Midland Grade that is above Buena Vista.
  • We also took Pat up on Aspen Ridge for a nice fall picinic at her favorite spot.
  • September rounded out with a fun filled time hosting our 2nd CFFC Fall Color Tour.
  • The last trip of the season was on a beautiful October day to the area between Wellsville and Howard.
