The canopy is now off, and I tried opening the windshield to see if the hinge still works. It did, and so do the windshield pivot arms. I started cleaning the rat's nest out of the radiator. See the pile on the floor?

I pulled both of the front seats out and started cleaning out the toolbox under the passenger seat.

Some of the bolts for the steel cab were so rusty, I had to cut them off with a cutting wheel on my grinder. Now that I have ripped the all carpet out, I'm left with a carpet glue mess on the fenders.

If you look close, you will be able to see the small hole on the passenger floorboard, and the larger hole in the toolbox floor. These will challenge my welding skills.

The gas tank shows the results of being the floor of a mouse hotel for the last 10 years.

The chrome headlight rings are almost as shiny as they were when they were new. This plow lift frame is going to go away. Note the rub line from the grill screen that I removed earlier.

The original taillight is unsalvageable but served as a great model for the reproduction taillight that will go in its place. The license plate shows evidence of the previous owner's repainting of the jeep from picket gray to bright red.

This was the factory red paint job on this wheel. Note the black pinstripe that was put on almost 60 years ago. Red wheels typically came with the picket gray painted jeeps. Most factory painted wheels also came with an accent colored pinstripe about 1/8th of an inch wide.
